Spectrum PA6 Low Warp CF15S Filament

Low shrinkage and high strength enhanced with carbon fiber reinforcement

Polyamide 6 is one of the strongest materials used in desktop 3D printing. It offers an exceptional combination of mechanical strength, rigidity, vibration damping, and abrasion resistance, far superior to many other filaments. It also provides excellent chemical resistance and can operate continuously at elevated temperatures.

Spectrum PA6 Low Warp CF15S takes nylon performance to a higher level. This thermally stabilized composite material contains 15% carbon fiber, and the Low Warp formulation includes additives that improve flow and layer adhesion during extrusion.

This results in over double the stiffness, tensile strength up to 120 MPa, increased durability, and HDT of 180 °C (0.45 MPa). Carbon fiber significantly reduces warp and gives prints a matte, carbon-like surface finish.

Spectrum PA6 Low Warp CF15S is perfect for functional components that require high rigidity, thermal stability, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for automotive, aerospace, and engineering applications.

Advantages

  • over twice the stiffness compared to unmodified PA6

  • high mechanical performance and abrasion resistance

  • excellent chemical resistance

  • HDT up to 180 °C (0.45 MPa)

  • printable on desktop printers without a heated chamber

  • matte, carbon-textured print surface

  • excellent layer adhesion

Applications

  • functional prototypes

  • production tooling

  • machine and device components – rotors, gears

  • guides, gear racks, rollers

  • protective rings and plates with enhanced chemical and corrosion resistance
