ELEGOO Rapid PETG in black is the high-speed version of the proven PETG, tuned for printing at speeds up to 600 mm/s without quality loss. The material combines the ease of printing known from PLA with mechanical durability close to ABS, making it suitable for both functional parts and aesthetic models. 1 kg spool, 1.75 mm diameter.

High-speed printing up to 600 mm/s

Rapid PETG is specially formulated for high-speed 3D printers. Thanks to its adjusted rheology and good flowability, it handles flow rates that standard PETG filaments cannot keep up with. At the recommended nozzle temperature of 240-270 °C, it achieves stable extrusion even at 500-600 mm/s, significantly shortening print times without compromising on detail.

Low shrinkage and aesthetic models

The material has a low tendency to shrink (warping), which will be appreciated by anyone printing larger parts or precise functional components. The print surface is smooth with a slight gloss, and the black color is rich and covers even thin walls without showing through.

Mechanical durability for functional parts

Tensile strength of 42 ± 2 MPa, flexural strength of 68 ± 2 MPa, and impact toughness of 87.6 kJ/m² place Rapid PETG among materials that can withstand daily loads. It is suitable for brackets, electronics enclosures, mechanical parts, and outdoor applications - significantly better than classic PLA, without the need to deal with an enclosed chamber as with ABS.

Vacuum packaging with moisture absorber

PETG is hygroscopic and moisture can completely ruin print quality. That's why ELEGOO packages the spool in vacuum together with a silica gel bag. After unpacking, we recommend storing the material in a dry box (≤ 20% relative humidity), or drying it before printing at 70 ± 5 °C.

Carefully wound spool made from recycled material

The filament is evenly wound, without crossings or tangles, so there is no risk of typical print interruptions during long jobs. The spool itself is made from recycled materials - a more eco-friendly alternative to common plastic spools.

Compatibility with FDM printers

The filament is universal for most FDM/FFF printers - Bambu Lab, Prusa, ELEGOO Centauri/Neptune, Creality, Anycubic, and others. For the best results, we recommend a textured PEI sheet and a bed temperature of 65-75 °C. For high speeds, also make sure you have a quality hardened nozzle - check the selection in the nozzles category.

Recommended print parameters

For standard speeds (50-150 mm/s), a nozzle temperature around 240-250 °C is sufficient. If you want to go full throttle (300-600 mm/s), increase to 260-270 °C and ensure adequate extruder flow. Part cooling around 30-50% maintains balance between layer adhesion and overhang quality.
