The Creality Raptor X is a professional handheld 3D scanner combining a blue laser and NIR (Near-InfraRed) technology in a single device. It delivers accuracy of up to 0.02 mm, handles dark and glossy surfaces without spray, and thanks to its metrology-grade data quality it is ideal for reverse engineering, quality control and digitization for subsequent 3D printing.

Dual scanning technology - laser and NIR

The Raptor X combines two top-tier scanning technologies in one device. The blue laser offers extremely high accuracy for detailed work with small parts and technical components, while the NIR (Near-InfraRed) mode enables marker-free scanning of larger objects, faces or items made of dark and slightly reflective materials. Switching between modes takes place directly in the application - no hardware change is required.

Accuracy up to 0.02 mm

In laser mode, the scanner achieves point accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and a resolution of 0.02 mm. This means it captures even fine edges, thread profiles or surface textures. For reverse engineering, spare part production or workpiece tolerance inspection, this is a metrology class previously offered only by devices at a significantly higher price.

22 laser lines + 41 crossed lines

The scanner projects 22 parallel blue laser lines for fast surface coverage plus an additional 41 crossed lines to capture fine details and deep cavities. The combination of both patterns ensures smooth scanning without loss of tracking even on complex geometries - typically castings, forged parts or organic shapes.

Scanning of dark and glossy surfaces without spray

The short-wavelength blue laser penetrates reflections and dark colors that conventional structured light often cannot handle. In most cases, matting spray is no longer required - saving you time, material and subsequent cleaning of the part. This is especially useful when scanning parts made of ABS, PETG, aluminum, cast iron or painted surfaces.

Full-color texture and AI processing

A built-in color camera captures a realistic surface texture, which the software automatically maps onto the resulting mesh. AI algorithms smooth the data in real time, remove noise and merge individual scans without the need for manual intervention. The result is a clean STL/OBJ file ready for CAD or directly for 3D printing on materials such as PLA, PETG or technical ASA.

Ergonomics and mobility

The scanner weighs only a fraction of conventional metrology devices and is designed for long-duration handheld scanning. A comfortable grip, well-balanced center of gravity and clear LED indication of the working distance let you hold the scanner in the ideal position without fatigue. It connects to a laptop with a single USB cable.

A wide range of applications

The Raptor X covers workshops, engineering offices and museum digitization. It can scan small machine parts just a few centimeters in size, as well as large car bodies, statues or the human body. Data can be exported to STL, OBJ, PLY and other formats compatible with CAD systems (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender) and slicers.

The package includes the Creality Raptor X scanner, a connecting USB cable, a set of calibration plates, reference markers, a transport case, a power adapter and a brief manual. The Creality Scan software can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer's official website. For rotational scanning of small parts, we recommend purchasing a compatible turntable.
