The Creality Otter Lite Basic is a compact 3D scanner for makers, designers and reverse engineering. It combines blue structured LED projection with high resolution and accuracy of up to 0.02 mm, allowing it to scan small parts as well as larger objects without the need to apply markers. USB connectivity, Windows and macOS support and color texture from an integrated RGB camera make the Otter Lite Basic a practical tool for any workshop.

Blue structured LED - accuracy and safety

The Otter Lite Basic uses blue structured light instead of a laser, which is eye-safe and at the same time makes it possible to capture even fine surface details. The scanner reaches accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and is safe for use at home or in a smaller workshop - no special eye protection is required.

Dual resolution - detail and volume in one

The scanner offers two capture modes - detail mode for small parts (from a few cm) and standard mode for larger objects (up to a size of ~2 m). This makes it suitable for scanning jewelry, small mechanical parts as well as larger objects such as shaped body panels or furniture components.

Color texture from the integrated RGB camera

The integrated RGB camera captures full-color texture together with geometry, so the resulting model faithfully represents the original. Ideal for archiving, presentations or creating a digital twin of an object with a realistic appearance.

Markerless scanning

Forget the tedious application of reflective markers. The Otter Lite Basic works with visual tracking and recognizes surface geometry, which significantly speeds up both preparation and the scanning itself. For glossy or dark surfaces, a light matting spray is enough.

Compact body and USB power

The scanner weighs approximately 570 g, is held in the hand like a small camera, and is powered via USB directly from the computer. It does not need an external power source or tripod (although a tripod is recommended for longer scanning sessions), so you can easily take it into the field to the object being scanned.

Otter Studio - clear software

The package includes Creality Otter Studio software (Windows and macOS) with a step-by-step wizard, real-time mesh preview and tools for cleaning, closing holes and exporting to STL, OBJ or PLY. You can easily transfer the resulting model to Blender, Fusion or directly to slicers - an ideal base for printing with PLA, PETG or technical materials such as ASA and nylon.

Reverse engineering and part repair

The Otter Lite Basic is a handy helper for reverse engineering - scan a damaged part, edit it in CAD and print a replacement from carbon or polycarbonate. Accuracy of 0.02 mm provides a reliable basis for dimensionally critical components.

Wide support for scanned objects

The scanner handles organic shapes (figures, statues, faces), technical parts (gearboxes, covers, molds) as well as larger objects. The combination of two resolution modes and markerless tracking makes it a universal tool for hobby projects and small-scale production.
