The Creality Falcon 5W is a desktop laser engraving and cutting machine that takes DIY creation, prototyping, and small-batch production to a professional level. It combines a powerful 5W optical module with a solid aluminum frame, a 400 x 415 mm work area, and engraving speeds of up to 10,000 mm/min. It handles wood, leather, acrylic, kraft paper, dark metals, and stainless steel, and is fully compatible with LaserGRBL and LightBurn.

Powerful 5W optical laser

At the heart of the machine is a compressed laser module with 5 W of optical output power, achieving a beam spot as small as 0.06 x 0.06 mm. This ultra-fine spot enables sharp details and small lettering, while still having enough energy to cut plywood up to 5 mm or dark acrylic up to 3 mm in a single pass. FAC (Fast Axis Collimation) technology ensures a focused and stable beam throughout the entire operation.

Work area 400 x 415 mm

The large engraving space accommodates A3-format sheets, which is a significant benefit compared to common competitors. You can process kitchen cutting boards, larger wooden signs, leather wallets, or full-size acrylic panels without repositioning. The frame is made of 20x40 aluminum profiles, ensuring rigidity and precision even at high travel speeds.

Engraving speed up to 10,000 mm/min

A high-speed motion system with stepper motors and precise GT2 belts allows operation at speeds of up to 10,000 mm/min. This shortens the engraving time of raster images by tens of percent compared to standard machines in this category. The speed is fully adjustable in the software, so you can choose the ratio between pace and depth / darkness of engraving according to the material.

Safety protection against impact and tilt

The Falcon is equipped with a tilt sensor and impact detection, which immediately turn off the laser in the event of an unexpected occurrence. The front protective window filters out harmful UV and blue light, so you do not risk eye damage during operation. The emergency STOP button on the main panel allows you to shut down the machine instantly at any time.

Precise Z-axis with adjustment wheel

Beam focusing is done using a fixed spacer block - simply attach it, release the lock, and the laser slides down to the correct working distance. This eliminates the tedious measuring with a ruler. The Z-axis stroke range accommodates materials up to 50 mm thick, covering common hobby projects as well as thicker wooden blocks.

Compatibility with LightBurn and LaserGRBL

The machine runs on standard GRBL firmware, making it fully compatible with the professional LightBurn software as well as free LaserGRBL. It supports JPG, PNG, BMP, DXF, SVG, AI, CAD, and other formats. It connects to a PC via USB-C, or you can print offline from a microSD card. The interface is in English, with Czech available via community translations.

Wide range of processable materials

The 5W variant handles wood, plywood, MDF, bamboo, leather, kraft paper, cardboard, textiles, dark acrylic, matte-coated stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and many more. You can cut plywood up to 5 mm, acrylic up to 3 mm (opaque black), and paper / leather in a single pass. Transparent acrylic and shiny metals cannot be cut / engraved with the 5W variant.

Fast 10-minute assembly

The machine arrives 90% pre-assembled. You just need to bolt the gantry to the base, connect the belt, wiring, and the laser module. Complete assembly can be done in roughly 10-15 minutes following the included manual. The package also contains material samples for your first trial projects.
