The Otter achieves single-shot accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and volumetric accuracy of 0.04 mm/m, placing it among professional tools for reverse engineering and quality control. Model resolution of 0.02 mm captures even the smallest details - texture, fine edges, or functional surfaces intended for further editing and 3D printing.

Structured light

The scanner uses infrared structured light, enabling fast and accurate scanning of entire objects while capturing fine details. Thanks to this technology, it is suitable for a wide range of applications, from scanning organic shapes to technical parts with sharp edges.

Handles dark and glossy surfaces without spraying

The blue laser and advanced data processing algorithms make it possible to scan black, dark, and moderately glossy materials without the need to apply a matting spray. You save time, materials, and post-scan cleaning of parts - especially useful for parts made of ABS, PETG, or carbon composites, which tend to be dark or glossy.

Markerless scanning

No need to stick on reflective markers - the Otter uses surface geometry and texture to automatically stitch individual frames. Scanning is smoother, faster, and does not require model preparation. For very smooth surfaces, markers can of course still be used as auxiliary reference points.

Wide object range from 5 mm to 2 m

The scanner works with objects ranging from small jewelry and machine components (min. 5 mm) up to large parts, sculptures, and human figures (up to 2 m). This makes it a versatile tool for the workshop, studio, or smaller industrial operations - a single scanner covers a portfolio that used to require two different devices.

Full-color texture in high resolution

The built-in color sensor captures surface texture and color in full-color quality. The resulting mesh is suitable not only for CAD processing but also for visualizations, archiving of artworks, or preparing models for color 3D printing or VR/AR.

Fast capture at up to 60 FPS

A frame rate of up to 60 FPS enables smooth handheld scanning without stuttering, which will be appreciated by anyone working with larger objects or scanning live subjects. Combined with powerful tracking, the time needed for a complete scan is significantly reduced.

Creality Scan software for free

The scanner comes with its own Creality Scan software, which handles alignment, mesh cleanup, trimming, and export to STL, OBJ, or PLY. Data can be sent directly to CAD tools or slicers for 3D printing. The software is regularly updated and supports both Windows and macOS.

Ideal for 3D printing and reverse engineering

Scanned data can be used to print spare parts, modify existing components, or accurately digitize prototypes. The scanner works well with common filaments such as PLA, ASA, nylon, or polycarbonate - scan the original, edit it in CAD, and print an exact replica.
