For more advanced applications with higher thermal or mechanical resistance, we recommend considering PETG, ASA or ABS.
Usage tips
- Before printing, check the cleanliness of the nozzle and the calibration of the first layer - PLA is sensitive to the nozzle height above the bed.
- For the best adhesion, use a clean glass, PEI or textured steel bed degreased with isopropyl alcohol.
- Turn on active part cooling to 100 % from the second layer - this will improve details and overhangs.
- If the filament has been stored outside its original packaging for a long time, dry it briefly - moisture causes the strand to crack and reduces surface quality.
- After printing, store the spool back in a resealable bag with silica gel.
- For stronger prints, choose 3-5 perimeters and higher infill (25-40 %).
- PLA has low thermal resistance (up to approx. 55 °C) - it is not suitable for parts exposed to direct sunlight or higher temperatures.
