PopCap is designed specifically for the Snapmaker U1 model and fully preserves its construction. Instead of the original top cover, you install PopCap with four filament grommets, arranged so that the strand passes through smoothly and without unnecessary friction. The entire modification is plug-and-play and can be done within minutes without any intervention in the electronics or firmware.

Multi-material printing with 4 spools at once

The cover enables the use of four separate spools simultaneously, which is ideal for multi-color and multi-material models. You can combine different colors of PLA, PETG, or mix with soluble supports. Each filament has its own input channel, so the strands do not twist or tangle together.

Integrated PTFE bowdens for clean passage

Each of the four inputs contains a PTFE tube that guides the filament from the top of the cover directly to the printer's feeder. PTFE reduces friction, protects the filament from abrasion, and also limits the ingress of dust and moisture. The result is more stable feeding and a lower risk of nozzle clogging during long prints.

Compatibility with dryers and filament boxes

PopCap is ideal for users who print with technical materials such as ASA, Nylon, polycarbonate, or carbon fiber composites. The top inputs can be easily connected to an external dryer or dry box, so the filament remains in optimal conditions throughout the entire print and does not absorb moisture from the air.

Easy installation without printer modifications

Replacing the original cover with PopCap takes place without the need to disassemble internal components. Simply remove the old cover, attach PopCap, and feed the filaments through the respective bowdens. There is no need to deal with any cables, sensors, or firmware updates - the printer works the same as before, just with expanded input capacity.

Robust construction resistant to heat

The cover is made of a material with sufficient heat resistance, so it can handle even longer print jobs at higher chamber temperatures.
