Bambu Lab Support Filament for ABS is a specialized support material designed for easy and clean prints with ABS filaments. It allows trouble-free support removal and ensures a high-quality surface at contact points with the model.

Key features

This support filament is specifically formulated for use with ABS material. Thanks to its different chemical structure, it adheres to ABS only to a limited extent, which enables easy and clean peeling of supports without damaging the model. The filament is supplied on a reusable high-temperature Bambu Reusable Spool with a weight of 0.5 kg.

The material supports the 0 Top Z distance and 0 Top interface spacing settings, resulting in a smooth model surface without visible support marks. This enhances detail sharpness and the overall visual quality of the print. The filament is soluble in limonene, allowing residual supports to be removed chemically.

Thanks to the integrated RFID chip, all print parameters are automatically loaded by the AMS system. Compatible with AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, and AMS systems. The AMS lite system is not supported.

This filament is intended exclusively as a support material for printing with ABS. It is an ideal choice for models with complex geometry, overhangs, and internal structures, where standard supports leave noticeable marks. It is used in functional prototypes, mechanical parts, enclosures, and anywhere a clean surface is required at support contact areas.

Requires an enclosed 3D printer with a well-ventilated space. Not intended for standalone model printing; it is used only as an interface or complete support structure.

Printing tips

• Use only as a support material - never print standalone models.
• Requires an enclosed printer in a ventilated area due to ABS odor during printing.
• For higher print quality, we recommend drying the filament before use - 80 °C for 4 hours in a dryer.
• To improve model layer adhesion, set the flushing volume above 800 mm³.
• Increasing the first-layer speed results in supports that peel off more easily, but beware of warping risk.
• Store in a sealed package with desiccant at humidity below 20 % RH.
• Support residues can be dissolved in limonene - follow safety instructions.
• Before printing, check compatibility with your AMS system (AMS lite is not supported).
