Bambu Lab PLA Silk+ Refill is a premium PLA filament with a distinctive silky sheen and improved interlayer adhesion. The refill variant without a spool is designed for reuse with the original reusable Bambu Lab spool - saving space, cost and waste. The package contains 1 kg of filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm.
Key features
PLA Silk+ material combines an eye-catching silky-metallic surface with increased strength and impact resistance. Compared to standard PLA Silk, it offers better layer bonding, making prints stronger and more resistant to bending and mechanical stress. The filament comes with an RFID chip that ensures automatic loading of print parameters in the AMS and AMS Lite system. The 1.75 mm filament diameter with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm guarantees stable extrusion and consistent print results.

Who is Bambu Lab PLA Silk+ Refill, 1kg suitable for
The filament is ideal for decorative models, figurines, cosplay accessories, vases, gift items and design objects that require a silky or metallic sheen. Thanks to improved layer adhesion, it is also suitable for functional parts, where regular silk PLA would fail due to brittleness. The refill package will be appreciated by users who print regularly and want to reduce waste and cost by reusing the original Bambu Lab spool.
Tips for use
- For maximum gloss, reduce the outer wall print speed to approximately 50 mm/s.
- Dry the filament before printing - 55 °C for 8 hours in a dryer, or 65-75 °C for 12 hours on a heated bed.
- Store in a sealed package with silica gel, ideally below 20% relative humidity.
- Recommended build plates: smooth PEI or textured PEI plate. SuperTack Cool Plate is not recommended.
- For top layers, use the concentric pattern, which enhances the silky effect.
- The refill is intended for the reusable original Bambu Lab spool - it is not separately wound on a plastic spool.
- Recommended nozzle: hardened steel or stainless steel, diameter 0.2 - 0.8 mm.
- If the Refill variant is unavailable, we reserve the right to replace it with the spooled version at the same price.
