Bambu Lab PLA Silk Multi-Color is a premium PLA filament with a silky sheen and dynamic color transitions that take the aesthetics of printed models to a new level. The material is available in Dual Color (two shades intertwined in a single strand) and Gradient (2 to 4 smooth transitions per spool) variants.
Key features
The filament combines the benefits of classic PLA material with a silk effect that creates a silky surface with high gloss. Thanks to its special composition, visually attractive transitions occur, changing the appearance of the model depending on the viewing angle or when the printed object is rotated. The material is easy to print, biodegradable, and suitable for most FDM/FFF printers. The spool weighs 1 kg and the filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm. An RFID chip enables automatic parameter loading in the AMS system.

This filament is intended for creators looking for aesthetically striking results without the need to change spools during printing. It is ideal for decorative models, figurines, vases, sculptures, design objects, gifts, and display pieces. Thanks to the silk effect and color transitions, even simple models will stand out without additional modifications. The material is suitable for both beginners and advanced users who want to achieve a professional look while maintaining the easy printability of standard PLA.
Usage tips
- Dry the filament before printing, ideally for 8 hours at 55 °C, especially after prolonged storage.
- Reduce the outer perimeter speed to 40 mm/s to achieve a pronounced silky effect.
- Use a smooth or textured PEI plate - the SuperTack plate is not recommended.
- For the Gradient variant, one color segment corresponds to approximately 20 m of filament (roughly 65 g+).
- For a full four-color transition, at least 80 m (250 g+) of material must be used.
- Store in a dry environment, ideally in a sealed container with desiccant or in the AMS.
- For the Dual Color variant, use with A-series printers is not recommended due to possible strand twisting.
- The recommended nozzle is hardened steel with a diameter of 0.4 mm or larger.
