Product variants
Bambu Lab PET-CF is a professional engineering filament reinforced with carbon fibers, combining the stiffness of the PET matrix with excellent mechanical strength and thermal resistance. It is designed for functional parts exposed to load, heat, and humid environments.
Key features
PET-CF is a blend of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and chopped carbon fibers (carbon fiber). Carbon fibers significantly increase stiffness, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability, while the PET matrix maintains a low degree of shrinkage and warping. The material is characterized by very low moisture absorption, ensuring that its mechanical properties remain stable even in humid environments. High thermal resistance (HDT up to 205 °C) and dimensional accuracy place it among engineering materials suitable for demanding applications. The surface of prints has a matte character with a subtle sparkle of the fiber structure.

Who is Bambu Lab PET-CF, 1kg suitable for
This material is designed for advanced users and professionals who need to produce load-bearing and structural parts with high mechanical stress. It is used for printing machine components, jigs, clamps, holders, automotive accessories, drone frames, robotic components, and other functional parts exposed to heat or moisture. Thanks to its low moisture absorption, it represents a suitable alternative to nylon materials for applications in environments with higher humidity where long-term dimensional stability is required.
Printing tips
- Always dry the material before printing at 80 °C for 8 - 12 hours - PET-CF is very sensitive to moisture.
- Use exclusively a hardened steel nozzle with a diameter of 0.4 mm or larger; a stainless steel nozzle is not recommended and a 0.2 mm diameter is not compatible.
- The material is not compatible with AMS systems - feed it directly from an external holder with a dryer or a hermetic box with silica gel.
- For best print quality, we recommend an enclosed printer; an open frame is possible but may result in reduced interlayer adhesion due to overcooling.
- Recommended build plates: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI Plate, or Textured PEI Plate with glue application.
- When handling, cutting, and post-processing, wear gloves - the fibers can cause skin irritation.
- Store in a hermetically sealed container with a desiccant to prevent moisture absorption.
- Keep the print speed below 100 mm/s for optimal layer adhesion and surface quality.
