Product variants
Bambu Lab PAHT-CF is a high-performance composite filament combining PA12 polyamide with carbon fibers. It excels with low moisture absorption, outstanding interlayer adhesion, and high tensile strength, making it ideal for engineering and industrial applications.
Key features
PAHT-CF (Polyamide High Temperature - Carbon Fiber) is an improved version of the PA-CF material. Thanks to the combination of PA12 and long-chain polyamide with carbon fibers, it achieves 50% lower moisture absorption compared to standard nylon PA-CF, ensuring stable mechanical properties even in humid environments. The material offers excellent layer adhesion in the Z-axis, high impact toughness, and thermal resistance with a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of up to 194 °C at 0.45 MPa. Carbon fibers provide high stiffness, dimensional stability, and an aesthetic matte surface finish. For comparison with other technical materials, see the carbon filaments category.

Who is Bambu Lab PAHT-CF, black suitable for
PAHT-CF is designed for advanced users and professionals who need mechanically durable, thermally stable, and dimensionally accurate parts. It is ideal for printing functional prototypes, structural parts, fixtures, clamping jigs, injection molds, and small-series production of technical components. It finds applications in automotive, robotics, drones, RC models, and spare parts manufacturing, where standard PLA or PETG would not suffice. Thanks to its high thermal resistance, it is a suitable alternative to ABS and ASA materials where higher mechanical strength is required.
Printing tips
- Always thoroughly dry the material before printing at 80 °C for 8 - 12 hours - PAHT-CF is highly moisture-sensitive.
- Use a hardened steel nozzle - carbon fibers abrasively wear down brass nozzles.
- The recommended nozzle size is 0.6 mm to minimize the risk of clogging while maintaining print quality.
- Print exclusively on a printer with an enclosed chamber - the material requires a stable ambient temperature.
- Remove supports within 2 hours after printing to prevent them from sticking to the model due to moisture absorption.
- When handling the filament, cutting, or sanding, wear protective gloves - the fibers may cause skin irritation.
- During printing, keep the humidity inside the box or dryer below 20% RH.
- Use a glue stick on the PEI build plate for reliable first-layer adhesion.
- PAHT-CF is supplied on a heat-resistant spool that can be used with Bambu refill cartridges.
