Product variants
Bambu Lab High Flow Induction Hotend (Right) is a high-flow induction hotend unit designed for the right (fixed) position in the Bambu Lab H2C and H2C Laser multi-material printers. Thanks to the Vortek induction system, it heats the nozzle to PLA printing temperature in approximately 8 seconds and handles a volumetric flow rate of up to 40 mm³/s, significantly reducing print times and material transitions in multi-material jobs.
Key features
The High Flow variant pushes the maximum volumetric flow rate to 40 mm³/s (tested with PLA Basic), which is 60% higher than the standard induction nozzle. In practice, this means faster printing of large objects, shorter transitions during multi-color prints, and less time waiting for batches to finish. For makers who print large series or functional prototypes, it is a tangible step forward in productivity.
The Vortek induction system heats the nozzle to PLA printing temperature in about 8 seconds. The fast thermal response shortens transitions during color changes and reduces the amount of material burned in the purge tower. Integrated protection against overheating, overvoltage, short circuit, and open circuit ensures reliable operation even during long multi-material jobs.
The hotend handles not only common PETG or ABS, but also materials filled with carbon and glass fibers such as PLA-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, PAHT-CF or PA6-GF (see carbon filaments). The maximum printing temperature of 350 °C also opens the door to technical thermoplastics such as PC, PC FR or ASA, as well as materials from the nylon and polycarbonate categories.
The Vortek system uses up to six interchangeable induction hotends, which on the H2C eliminate the purge flush during filament changes until you exceed seven different materials in a single job. The result is dramatically lower material consumption and shorter overall print time compared to classic single-nozzle multi-color systems. Instead of metal pins that oxidize over time, Vortek uses contactless high-frequency transmission of power and signal - the connection is stable in the long term and not subject to wear.
Two temperature sensors monitor the nozzle and heatsink temperature in real time. When the heatsink temperature exceeds the safe limit, the control system automatically increases cooling power, preventing heat creep and nozzle clogging. Each Vortek hotend also locally stores information about the loaded filament, so the system always knows which material is where and prevents incorrect loading.
This variant is the right fixed hotend for the Bambu Lab H2C and H2C Laser printers. If you print only in single color, the manufacturer recommends the fixed induction hotend. For multi-color printing with AMS, connect the AMS to the right fixed hotend. For TPU 85A, the right fixed hotend is the only supported position.

Who is the Bambu Lab High Flow Induction Hotend (Right) - H2C suitable for
The hotend will be appreciated by makers and professionals who want to get the most productivity out of the Bambu Lab H2C or H2C Laser printer. It is suitable for printing large parts, functional prototypes, and series where speed and low waste in multi-material jobs matter. The high maximum temperature and compatibility with technical and abrasive filaments make it a universal choice for engineering applications and everyday production printing.
Usage tips
- For single-color printing, use the right fixed hotend - the manufacturer recommends it as the primary position.
- When printing with AMS, connect the AMS module to the right fixed hotend for proper material mapping.
- For printing with TPU 85A, always use the right fixed position - other positions are not supported for this material.
- When printing with abrasive CF/GF filaments, check the condition of the nozzle and replace it in time if worn.
- For long PLA print jobs, keep the heatsink clean - although the two temperature sensors monitor heat creep, prevention will extend the hotend's lifespan.
- During filament changes, let the firmware optimize hotend mapping - you will save material and time in the purge tower.
