Overview

The hardened steel gear set is an internal component of the hardened steel extruder assembly. It includes the driven gear and the active gear, which work together to feed filament into the hotend.

The hardened steel extruder is made from durable materials and offers improved performance when printing with engineering filaments such as PAHT-CF and PET-CF, ensuring long-lasting reliability. If wear or clogs occur after extended use, users can replace only the gear assembly instead of the entire extruder unit.

The P1 series extruder comes with a stainless-steel extruder by default. Users can upgrade to the hardened steel extruder for better abrasion resistance when printing with engineering filaments.
