Bambu Lab PLA Pure Refill is a premium PLA filament focused on purity of composition, food-contact safety, and low emissions during printing. It is supplied as a refill without a spool, weighing 1 kg with a diameter of 1.75 mm, designed for the reusable Bambu Reusable Spool and all AMS systems.

Key features

PLA Pure is made from only five ingredients, each of which is EU certified for food contact (EU 10/2011). The material is further certified to UL GREENGUARD 2904 for low particle and VOC emissions during printing, and to EN 71-3 - the European toy safety standard.

Thanks to the reduced amount of additives, it offers cleaner extrusion, less nozzle residue, and reduced stringing even without prior drying. Mechanical properties remain on par with classic PLA Basic - flexural strength 75 MPa (XY), modulus 2880 MPa (XY), and impact toughness 20.6 kJ/m² (XY). The material is equipped with an RFID chip for automatic loading of print parameters within the Bambu Lab ecosystem.

This filament is suitable for printing objects that come into contact with hands, children, or food - children's toys, play models, kitchen utensils, holders, organizers, and everyday usable objects. Thanks to the GREENGUARD certification, it is suitable for printing in residential spaces, offices, or classrooms where air quality matters.

The refill packaging is an economical solution for users who already own a reusable Bambu spool, and reduces waste production. PLA Pure is ideal for detailed models, functional prototypes, and aesthetic prints requiring a clean surface with minimal stringing.

Tips for use

• The refill must be used with a compatible reusable spool (Bambu Reusable Spool).
• Before printing, we recommend drying the filament at 55 °C for 8 hours for maximum surface quality.
• For printing items intended for food contact, do not use adhesive (Bambu Liquid/Solid Glue) - instead, increase the bed temperature.
• Do not expose finished prints to temperatures above 60 °C to prevent deformation.
• Compatible with all Bambu Lab printers, AMS systems, and standard nozzles.
• The RFID chip allows automatic loading of optimal print parameters within the Bambu ecosystem.
• Store in a dry environment in a sealed package with silica gel.
• Layers in contact with liquid food are not recommended due to microscopic gaps between layers.
