Product variants
Bambu Lab Filament PETG Translucent 1kg, with spool is a translucent PETG filament optimized for printing transparent and semi-transparent models with emphasis on light transmission, dimensional stability and easy processing.
Key features
This is a specially tuned variant of PETG that minimizes the typical problems of standard PETG filaments - stringing, clumping, melt sticking to the nozzle and oozing. The material offers excellent light transmission, which allows you to achieve anything from subtly tinted translucency to full transparency with appropriate print settings.
The filament is waterproof, UV resistant and withstands temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for outdoor use as well. It exhibits minimal warping and stable dimensions after printing, so it can be used on both enclosed and open printers. The spool is equipped with an RFID chip that automatically transfers print parameters to Bambu Lab printers equipped with the AMS system.

Who is Bambu Lab Filament PETG Translucent 1kg, with spool suitable for
The filament is intended for creators who want to combine the aesthetics of translucent prints with mechanical durability. It is suitable for design elements, lampshades and light diffusers, decorative items, vases, lamps, prototypes with a glass-like visual effect, models with light elements (e.g. LED installations), functional outdoor parts, holders, covers and casings where water resistance and UV stability are required. Thanks to its higher strength and toughness compared to classic PLA, it is also suitable for mechanically stressed parts that also need to look aesthetically pleasing.
Tips for use
- Always dry the filament before printing (65 °C / 8 h) - moisture causes bubbles and reduces transparency.
- For maximum translucency, print slower, with a higher nozzle temperature and higher infill (ideally 100 %).
- Transparency depends on wall thickness, model structure and print speed - test on samples.
- Recommended nozzles: hardened steel 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm or stainless steel 0.4 mm.
- Recommended print plates: Smooth PEI, Textured PEI; Cool Plate SuperTack is not recommended.
- For better adhesion use Bambu Liquid Glue, classic glue stick is not recommended.
- After printing, store in a vacuum bag with silica gel - PETG is hygroscopic.
- For printing transparent models, choose a wider extrusion width and higher temperature for better layer bonding.
