Bambu Lab ABS-GF is a glass-fiber reinforced technical ABS filament that combines the mechanical durability of classic ABS with higher stiffness, dimensional stability and a high-quality matte surface. Glass fibers in the matrix ensure lower shrinkage, reduced warping and precise printing of technical parts.

Key features

Glass fibers in the ABS matrix significantly increase stiffness (flexural modulus approx. 2860 MPa, 52% more than standard ABS) as well as interlayer strength (46 MPa on the Z axis). The material offers higher heat resistance (HDT 99 °C), better dimensional stability and lower moisture absorption (0.53%). The print surface is finely matte with micro-glossy spots that visually mask individual layers. The filament is resistant to water, abrasion and normal wear, ideal for functional and long-term used parts.

Who is Bambu Lab Filament ABS-GF, 1kg suitable for

ABS-GF is intended for advanced users who need a technical material for load-bearing and mechanically stressed parts. It is suitable for the production of electronics enclosures, connectors, brackets, mounting elements, molds, automotive components and parts exposed to elevated temperature or humidity. Thanks to the high-quality matte surface, it can also handle aesthetic and decorative parts. Printing requires an enclosed chamber and a printer with a hardened nozzle - glass fibers are abrasive. If you need higher toughness without reinforcement, consider classic ABS or ASA; for extreme heat resistance with fibers, then materials in the carbon or nylon category.

Tips for use

• Always dry the filament before printing at 80 °C for 8 hours.
• Use only a hardened steel nozzle - glass fibers quickly wear out brass.
• A 0.2 mm nozzle is not compatible, recommended is 0.4 or 0.6 mm.
• Print in an enclosed chamber for stable temperature and minimal warping.
• Apply a thin layer of glue to the bed for better first layer adhesion.
• For large models, reduce print speed and increase bed temperature.
• Use gloves when handling, sanding and post-processing - fibers can cause micro-pricks.
• Place the printer in a well-ventilated area, ABS-GF emits an odor during printing.
• Store in a sealed package with desiccant at humidity below 20% RH.
