The Bambu Lab Auto Fire Extinguishing System is a safety accessory for H2 series printers equipped with a laser module. It detects fires using an AI camera and flame sensors and instantly injects CO2 into the printer chamber. The package includes a pressurized gas cylinder, so the system is ready for immediate installation and operation.

Fully automatic detection and suppression

The extinguishing system is deeply integrated into the safety logic of the H2 series printers. It leverages the printer's AI camera and flame sensors to recognize a fire at a very early stage. Upon detection, it automatically releases carbon dioxide into the print chamber and suppresses the fire before it can cause major damage.

Manual emergency mechanism during power outage

The system features a standalone manual trigger that works even without power. If a power outage occurs, extinguishing can be activated using the emergency hand wheel. This mechanism serves solely as a backup for power-off states - do not touch it during normal operation.

Adaptive gas dosing

The extinguishing system uses adaptive CO2 dosing to minimize unnecessary gas consumption. The algorithm evaluates the extent of the fire and releases only the amount of extinguishing agent required. As a result, a reserve remains in the cylinder for potential follow-up interventions, and overall operation is more economical.

Designed for H2 series laser operations

The system is designed specifically for H2D, H2D Pro, H2S, and H2C printers with a laser module, where the risk of material ignition is higher. Even when using the extinguishing system, all safety rules must be followed and a running laser job should never be left unattended. The system does not guarantee a 100% successful response.

Independent power supply for maximum reliability

For proper operation, it is recommended to connect the extinguishing system to a separate power source, isolated from the printer. This ensures that the extinguishing unit remains functional even if the printer itself loses power - typically due to a short circuit caused by the fire.

Single-use pressurized cylinder

The CO2 cylinder is a single-use consumable. Once discharged, it cannot be refilled, and a new replacement cylinder must be purchased. Before installation, always check that the cylinder is not mechanically damaged or dented - a damaged cylinder may fail and the extinguishing system might not put out the fire. When printing with more flammable materials such as PLA, PETG, or ABS, this protection is especially important.

Firmware compatibility

For proper operation of the extinguishing system, the printer and software must be updated to at least the following versions: H2D O1.02.00.00, H2D Pro U1 01.01.00.00, H2S 01.01.00.00, H2C U1 01.01.00.00, and Bambu Suite 01.01.01.50 or newer. Before commissioning, we recommend updating the firmware to the latest available version.
