The Anycubic Kobra 3 Max Combo is a large-format FDM printer with a 420 × 420 × 500 mm build volume, speeds up to 600 mm/s, and the ACE Pro multi-material system for printing from up to 4 spools at once. The combination of a direct drive extruder, automatic calibration and a heated PEI build plate makes this setup an ideal machine for makers who need to print large parts or multi-color models without compromise.

Large 420 × 420 × 500 mm build volume

The 420 × 420 × 500 mm print volume moves the Kobra 3 Max into the large-format printer category. You can print a helmet in one piece, cosplay armor, large functional prototypes, or architectural models. The open frame is ideal for PLA and PETG, and with enclosure it can also handle ABS or ASA.

ACE Pro multi-material system

The Combo package includes the ACE Pro - an active system for printing from up to four spools simultaneously. It enables multi-color printing as well as material mixing (for example, model + dissolvable support). The built-in active dryer keeps filament at ideal humidity right during printing, which will be appreciated by anyone working with nylon or other hygroscopic materials.

Print speed up to 600 mm/s

The recommended maximum print speed reaches 600 mm/s; actual speed of course depends on material and part geometry. A rigid frame and calibrated input shaping minimize ringing even at aggressive print profiles. With PLA you can finish large models in hours rather than days.

Direct drive extruder and nozzle up to 300 °C

The direct drive extruder gives the printer precise filament control - it pushes flexible materials excellently. The hotend handles nozzle temperatures up to 300 °C, so processing technical materials like ASA, PA-CF or carbon fiber composites is no problem. Replacement nozzles are easy to swap out.

Automatic calibration and PEI plate

The printer uses fully automatic leveling - no paper strips, no turning screws. The flexible steel sheet with PEI surface holds the first layer firmly during printing, and once cooled, a slight flex is enough for the model to pop off. The maximum bed temperature of 90 °C covers common materials including PETG.

Connectivity and cloud control

The Kobra 3 Max has a touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and cloud control via the Anycubic app. You can start and monitor prints from anywhere, send G-code over the network, and check print progress via the integrated camera. A USB port for a flash drive is missing, but network connectivity fully replaces it.

Sensors and print safety

The printer includes a filament jam and run-out sensor as well as power loss recovery. If filament runs out in the middle of a twenty-hour job or power is cut, the printer saves its position and resumes where it left off once power is restored.

Robust construction

External dimensions of 706 × 640 × 753 mm and a weight of 23.6 kg match the large-format build - the printer does not vibrate even at high speeds. Power consumption of 300 W is economical given the print volume. Before installation, plan for roughly one meter of free space in each direction.
