What is UV curing of SLA prints?

UV curing is the final step of SLA printing. The print is exposed to UV light that completes polymerization of the resin. Without it the print is sticky and soft.

How it works

  1. Wash print in IPA 5-10 min
  2. Dry with air or cloth
  3. UV cure 2-10 min depending on size
  4. In curing station or in sun (but slow and uneven)

Curing stations

Anycubic Wash & Cure, Elegoo Mercury combine washing and curing. Price $100-300. Essential for regular SLA printing.
