Clogged nozzle: causes and solution
A clogged nozzle = filament doesn't pass through the nozzle. Extruder „clicks", printer won't print. Causes: cold print, wet filament, low-quality material, heat creep.
How to clean
- Cold pull - heat to 220 °C, pull filament when cold (nylon)
- 0.4 mm metal wire - push through the nozzle
- Disassembly - unscrew nozzle, burn out with flame
- New nozzle - costs $5-15, cheaper than hours of tweaking
