What is raft in 3D printing?

A raft is a complete filament layer under the model. Isolates the model from the build plate - prevents warping for ABS, ASA, Nylon.

When to use

Problem materials (ABS, Nylon), very small parts, warped bed. Usually brim is enough.

Disadvantages

More material, longer print, worse model bottom (contact with raft).
