Print speed is the speed of nozzle movement during printing. Typically 50-150 mm/s. Modern printers like Bambu Lab print up to 500 mm/s.
What affects speed
- Material - PLA faster, PETG slower
- Nozzle diameter - 0.6 mm faster
- Layer height - higher = faster
- Mechanics - CoreXY faster
Typical settings
- Outer perimeters: 30-80 mm/s
- Inner perimeters: 60-150 mm/s
- Infill: 80-300 mm/s
- Travel: 150-500 mm/s
