What is Pressure Advance?
Pressure Advance (PA) is an algorithm compensating pressure in the hotend. When slowing down the motor pulls filament back faster, when accelerating it adds extra. Result: sharp corners without excess material.
Why needed
When slowing down (e.g. corner) the nozzle still pushes melted plastic. Result: blob in corner, over-extrusion.
Calibration
Print PA tower or PA line test. OrcaSlicer has built-in calibration. Typical value: 0.02-0.08 for direct drive.
