What is a PEI sheet?
A PEI sheet (Polyetherimide) is the most popular type of build plate. Excellent adhesion without glue for PLA, PETG, ABS. Available in smooth and textured variants.
PEI variants
- Textured (Powder Coated) - matte print bottom, better adhesion
- Smooth - glossy bottom like glass
- Double-sided magnetic - 2 surfaces, most versatile
Maintenance
Wipe with IPA 90%+, no fingerprints. Occasionally brush lightly with soft cloth. After hundreds of prints replace (wear).
