What is layer adhesion?
Layer adhesion is the bond strength between adjacent layers of a print. Key for model strength. Poor adhesion causes delamination.
What affects it
- Nozzle temperature - higher = better adhesion
- Print speed - slower = better
- Cooling - too much = weak bond
How to improve
Raise nozzle by 5-10 °C, reduce cooling (careful with PLA), annealing.
