What is Input Shaping?

Input Shaping is an algorithm suppressing vibrations of the printer during fast printing. Measures resonances and compensates movements in G-code. Result: quality printing even at 500 mm/s.

Why Input Shaping

During fast printing the printer vibrates - visible as ghosting behind sharp edges.

Implementation

Klipper first introduced it. Bambu Lab does it automatically on P1/X1. Marlin has support since 2.1.
