What is 3D print delamination?

Delamination is the separation of layers - the print splits at the bond between layers. A sign of poor layer adhesion. Most common with PETG, Nylon.

Causes

  • Low nozzle temperature
  • Too strong cooling
  • Wet filament

Solution

  1. Raise nozzle by 10 °C
  2. Reduce cooling
  3. Dry the filament
