What is a belt in a 3D printer?
A belt is a toothed strap transferring movement from motor to axis. Standard GT2 profile. Correct tension is key to print quality.
Tension
Too loose = ghosting, layer shift. Too tight = motor wear. Ideal: slightly tight, compress 1-2 mm.
Maintenance
Check every few months. Replace after ~2 years of intensive printing.
